Appointment announcement – Edinburgh’s new Radisson Red hotel

It’s not every day you are appointed by Creos Property to work on an exclusive new-build project – but we’re delighted to tell you we’ve been selected as interior design partner for the brand new Radisson Red in Ingliston, Edinburgh.

Planning permission has now been granted for the new 204-room hotel, which will also feature a gym, business facilities, and a spectacular rooftop restaurant and bar with outdoor terraces (a key attraction of its Glasgow City counterpart). The hotel will have eight floors, and also include six junior suites that are synonymous with Radisson Red’s playful, contemporary style.

The building itself, takes the form of two distinct blocks, each of which have been designed to represent different parts of the area’s history. The architects behind the build, HLM Architects, described the proposed building:

“The north block responds to the pioneering context of engineering and innovation, reflected in both the aviation industry at Edinburgh Airport, and the achievements of the Forth Bridges beyond. Conversely, the south block responds to the agricultural context of the Royal Highland Centre and the farming and architectural history of the wider area.”

The Ingliston area of Edinburgh is conveniently located for Edinburgh Airport, and also enjoys terrific transport links to Edinburgh City Centre. We cannot WAIT to get started. Expect Edinburgh’s new Radisson Red to open its doors in 2025. Meanwhile, keep your eyes peeled on our projects page for more updates!
